"Momma's Teacup" SOLD
Dishes are such telling things, so unique to each family, able to bring back long forgotten memories in the blink of an eye. From the jelly glass I drank milk out of as a child, to the orange glass bowl that mom served up her home made mashed potatoes in, dishes often outlive the original owner and move into the waiting hands of the next generation. I especailly enjoy teacups and coffee cups because they remind us of the delightful conversations that have passed over them. Golden lipped and delicately shaped, this teacup has waited a long time to be painted and I must say, it was great fun!
