A Year to Live!
"The proper function of man is to live, not to exist."
~Jack London
Exercise is good for us--we know this.
It creates
flexibility,
stamina,
and maybe best of all--can be energizing!
Energy to live our lives in a full out fashion.
Exercises of the mind can do the same.
Imagine that we had one year
of harmonious,
peaceful,
pain-free living
left
and we had to work during this time
(not run around the world running up our credit cards:))
--what would we do?
It's an interesting exercise to take on--
Making a list of what you would do--
And making a list of what your life would be like if you continued in "business as usual".
Then compare the two.
I'm interested to hear what reveals itself to you from the exercise:))
"Give up the desire to survive, so you can know the ecstasy of thriving."
~Chin-Ning Chu
Note: The above "exercise" is from "Do Less, Achieve More" by Chin-Ning Chu--a book I am currently enjoying:))!
And a special creation for you--
To inspire
Because when you walk in the path that is yours alone
You will bring hope to people
and to places you may never know
For you are on important business
The MOST important business of your life
To do that which really matters
Knowing that a single beam of light (you)
can change
