THE FURRY BANDIT OF SABBATH SONG FARM
Early Riser
Bird Watcher
DoorMan (DoorCat??)
Quiche Thief (Again)

AKA: Mr. Big Paws

Mornings feel different on Sabbath Song Farm.

Before the sun rises, silver moon still shining,
the mist lays between
the rows of tree tops
that layer out
to where lavender skies
kiss blue ridge.

That's the precise moment when Mr. Big Paws makes his entrance from the fields.
It also happens to be the time  the hummingbirds begin their  early morning rounds.

 Coincidence?

I think not.

Initially, Mr. Big Paws is quite the gentleman, waiting at the door.

Do not be taken in by this.
One nano second later,
he has assumed the "somebody better let me in or heads will roll" pose.

I can't really blame him though.
Carolyn has fixed a Sweet Potato Quiche with Bacon,  fit for a king
and a Lime Curd Blackberry Italian Meringue Pie.

Life is good on the farm.
Especially if it happens to be Sabbath Song Farm
and
your name is Mr. Big Paws.

Please Note:  This is No. 8 in the "Catalicious Series" and has earned the prestigious EBSA award (Eddie Bill Seal of Approval).

Of all the opportunities that  come our way, the golden ones are  best.
I mean, when's the last time you heard someone say..."Now that's a silver opportunity, I think you should do it."  or "Wow, what a bronze opportunity!" or "Nickel opportunities like that don't come along everyday."

Yep, gold is good:))

So it's a golden opportunity to stroll down this street and listen to the music.

So the story of Lavender Land ends where it began.
Me on my computer,
dreaming of France,
hanging out with one black and white cat.
Except the really good stories never end---they just pause for the time being.
Hence the name of today's painting.
Lavender Paws:)))

To Be Continued....Next Summer:)))
Yep, I'm going back and have promised Eddie that if he behaves himself, he gets to go too.
Not holding my breath  on that one.
A whole year of Eddie behaving himself.

Now that's funny:))))

P.S.  Thanks for joining me on my adventures in Lavender Land.  You're much better company than Eddie:)!

Home grown flowers don't need no fancy containers.
Like all natural beauties,
(think Sophia Loren and  Katherine Hepburn)
they look good in any ole thing.

Even a rusty tin can:))

What is sunshine and shadow by day, becomes soft shapes, twinkle lights by night.
Dusk,  a  truly magical  time.
Both romance and mystery deepen.
Time for reflection by the emerging moon
Cool grass, crisp wine
Long sigh of a day well spent.

Just another lavender evening:))
